Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete, which can be called textures or imprinted concrete, is a very simple design which opens up many different options for your project. There are many types of stamps and colour options available to make sure you get the perfect look. Stamping concrete allows you to mimic other materials such as brick, cobblestone, slate, tiles, and limestone. You can also choose what colour your stamped concrete will look like which adds a whole other dimension for your project. Having your concrete stamped may just be what your home needed to spice things up. A great look that mixes to types of decorative concrete is where you have an exposed aggregate center with a stamped concrete border. We have seen this become a popular choice with our clients.

Exposed Aggregate ConcreteExposed aggregate concrete is probably something you've seen before but not quite sure what its called. It is one of the most common types of concretes used for driveways. How the process works is that once the concrete has been poured, the top layer is removed to "expose" the rocks and different sediments that are part of the concrete mix. Once exposed, a beautiful surface of small stones and pebbles is revealed. You are able to achieve different types of looks by adding in sediment of different types, sizes and shapes. An added benefit of exposed aggregate concrete is the texture develops on the surface of the concrete. It can act as built in traction and can be grippier than other surfaces of concrete.

Stained Concrete
Staining concrete creates a look that truly gives that "wow" factor when people look at it. It's different when compared to painting as painting applies a layer to the surface of the concrete and gives it more of a opaque layer. Staining on the other hand actually penetrates and infuses with the concrete which creates a translucent effect when you look at the surface. With the stains available to us today, you are able to replicate the look of natural stone, stained wood, and even marble. This is an excellent way to give life to your concrete for both interior and exterior projects. One of our favorite ways to stain is staining a concrete floor with the look of marble. You get the strength of concrete without the usual maintenance involved with a traditional marble surface.
